Project Initiation and Contract Development
Every new MicroBios customer presents us with unique requirements - whether it’s helping to design a novel type of assay system or developing a cost-effective process to produce a difficult recombinant protein. Since we handle such a variety of requests, each project utilizes a different set of technologies and requires a different combination of our service offerings. Consequently, we’ve devised a sales process to ensure that we always focus on our customers’ differing needs. This approach helps us to quickly reach satisfactory contract agreements and to establish mutually beneficial business relationships. More importantly, we find that by paying close attention to our customers’ needs, we can maximize the likelihood of a highly successful program.
At MicroBios, project development proceeds through four steps:
- Evaluation of Customer’s Needs – Critical initial discussions; review of preliminary agreements and exchanges of information.
- Drafting the Project Proposal – Working to develop proposals and project plans; establishing objectives, timelines and budgets.
- Approval of the Project Proposal – Together, the customer and experienced MicroBios team members unanimously approve a co-created final project plan.
- Project Launch – Assigning specific tasks to program participants; defining the work flow and assessing critical process variables with a pre-determined timeline.
